January

Look how big the new baby has gotten! She and Sid are about the same height but I'm guessing she weighs about half of what he weighs.

I've stayed pretty busy with monogramming and sewing. I've made a ton of these infinity scarves lately, and they are turning out super cute!

My mom and I took a day trip to Savannah to visit a little old lady friend and then do some shopping. I TOTALLY LOVED this cute store! My friend recommended it...her brother just opened it. It's a combination of thrift/antique as well as furniture that he's redone. He has really done a great job with all of his projects and I'd love to be able to shop there regularly! Go check him out on facebook.

This isn't quite my style, but I like the empty frame with something sort of 3D inside...not sure how I would make this work in my house.

LOVED all of the rugs and the chairs he redid.

How fabulous is this chair?! Too bad it matches nothing in my house, or it would've come home with me!

I love this green candlestick holder. I'm going to be on the hunt for brass candlesticks to redo.

This chair came home with me to add to my dining room set. As well as some cute little birds to hang on the wall in the kitchen or maybe my guest room.

After visiting with mom's friend, we headed to River Street and walked and shopped for a few hours. Such a perfect, beautiful day!

Really had a great time shopping in the Savannah Bee Company. They do honey tastings. I loved all their products and their logo is so cute!

Yum! Like icing but it's natural and made of honey!

Monday, I found these pieces at a consignment shop in Charleston. I'm still debating them, but I think they could look really great on either side of my mantle/tv with a fresh coat of white paint.

Finally, check out these pictures of Charlie's sisters. I love seeing how much they all still resemble each other. They're about 4 months old now.

a December to Remember!

December flew by this year! After trying to decorate a little each day, I was super busy with filling monogramming orders and then trying to get to sewing my own Christmas gifts. My hope for this next year is to plan ahead a little more so that I can try and complete some of my gifts over the summer when I have some extra time, rather than trying to fit all of mine in during the week before Christmas. It was way too stressful! Anyways, I wanted to share a few of my latest projects and some of what we've been up to lately.

I had a great birthday with great friends! Rip took me to Takosushi for some yummy food!

With my sweet little girl!

 With my sweet friend Melisa

We waited a little late, but we finally got our Christmas cards out! This card was a little challenging because as I started putting it together, I knew I wanted a picture of our new house. We also had one of Rip's students come and take a picture of the 4 of us for our card. Then I looked through our pictures from the year to find another picture for the card and sadly discovered that Rip & I had only taken 2 pictures of just the 2 of us this year! And neither of them was cute enough for our card! I found a cute picture of the babies sleeping so I used that, but I warned Rip that this would be the year of the picture! And I have already started taking lots of pictures so that we'll be ready for next year!

Christmas 2012
I LOVE my cute Sidney in this picture! He was really tired of all the pictures at this point!

I embroidered a set of onesies for a friend and her sweet little man. They turned out really cute!

This one can be worn after Christmas too!

These stockings came from Belk and turned out really cute with the personalization!

This Christmas, a lot of people were interested in personalized t-shirts, jackets, and scarves.
A cute pocket monogram on a t-shirt.

I LOVE how these gifts turned out! I bought a bunch of fleece jackets from Old Navy on Black Friday.  I monogrammed these to give to all of the young cousins for Christmas, and I was really happy with how all of them turned out!

A set for some super cute sisters!

A tiny monogram for a tiny cousin :)

Personalized koozie

Personalized pashminas. I love how the monogram stitched out on these! I will definitely be looking for some of these this year for next year's gifts!

These next scarves are my latest project. I have seen them in stores and all over etsy, and I finally figured out how to make them!

(Whoops! These were taken in the mirror, so the monogram is backwards. Haha!)

Carolina and Clemson Infinity scarves

Pretty in pink infinity scarves

The infinity scarves are a long continuous loop. They wrap twice around your neck and because of the loop will not slide off. They can be made of just about any comfortable fabric. They can also be carried over and worn through the summer if they're made of a light weight material.
I will DEFINITELY be making a lot more of these in the weeks to come.

LOVE this cozy blanket. I found it at TJMaxx, and it will make a great wedding gift for a sweet friend!

Every year I face some kind of sewing injury during the holiday season. I know I just get too busy and am not as careful as I should be..Last year, I ran my middle finger through the monogram machine and took out a chunk of my finger.
This year, that same poor finger was stitched straight through! UGH! Yuck! It was so gross to see and even worse to pull the thread out!
Red thread and that poor broken needle...

Onto something a lot more pleasant! We are so blessed to have been welcomed by our community and our schools. We were so excited to receive such a thoughtful gift from one of Rip's students and his family. They saw our old house and found this great classic clock that they thought would go along with it. It's from the turn of the century and has to be wound each week. I love it! So beautiful!

We had a great time at the Montgomery's annual Christmas party this year. I was feeling under the weather so I do hope to be feeling better at next year's shindig. Thanks to Debbie Conrad for these classy sweaters.
We got to wear them again at the OP Holiday tournament. Rip & Coach Corey looked so cute coaching in their sweaters. :)

Christmas was wonderful of course. Wonderful time to be with both of our families.

Rip thinks he's so funny making fun of his dad's glasses..

Christmas Eve with my love

Cute boy on Christmas morning!

Christmas morning with Charlie!

We had a great time celebrating NYE. We started at the pond house with family for a few hours. Then headed to Kickin Chicken to watch the Clemson game. Then out to the beach house. We had a long but fast-paced walk to Center Street to see the Flip Flop drop at midnight. We enjoyed a few drinks with friends. Then headed back to the beach house. It was a great night!

We're excited for all that this new year may bring!
